Carved by the Mountain: A Desert Retreat Inspired by Tuwaiq

Villa Tuwaiq takes its form from the Tuwaiq mountains west of Riyadh. The architecture echoes that strength through bold, layered massing and earthen tones drawn straight from the rock itself. Gaps between the masses act as wind corridors, channeling air through the building in response to the desert climate, while open-to-sky courtyards bring light deep into the plan. Privacy is handled inward: living spaces open onto these internal courts rather than the street, with the façade kept largely closed to the outside world.
